funny, someone gave me a copy of Steinberg 24 in 91.I was living in a 1500 sq ft warehouse loft in the same street Pixar is now at (3 doors down).turns out it came from drummer William Kennedy who had just toured with the yellow Jackets and had opened for the jacksons.I allready had met him while he was playing with Sheila E,I called him to ask him if he wanted it back,he sayd no,so I sold it because I allready had sold a comodore 64 computer that I only had for a month as I could'nt get my groove on,so I went back to hardware sequencers.years Later I finally got a laptop and went at it,Vdj being the first music app I dove into...

We've come a long way since the early days of music software sequencers. With Sternberg's Pro 24 I can remember putting each individual drum hit in with the mouse. I used to adjust the velocity on alternate drum hits to make it sound more authentic. Dunno if I would have the patience now lol. The rest was played in with my Roland D10 synth which I've still got (bought new in 1990, vintage now).

Yep, still got the D10 and Yamaha DS55 keyboards, Kawai Kr1 rackmount, Alessis Quadraverb +, Behringer Composer Pro, 32 channel patchbay. All in SKB cases, 8us and 16us along with MiniDisk player and DCC disk player. 3 saxes Elkhart Soprano, Buffet S1 Alto and Selmer MKVI Tenor (worth more then my house mortgage now lol). Sold my Epiphone Les Paul guitar last year.

hey

i have a question i've created some tracks in ableton but when i open my virtual dj i can't find them on my computer i think it's becaus it's still an
.als file do you guys maybe know how i can fix this so i can open my own created tracks from ableton into my virtual dj

Goto file Export audio
then select mp3 or wav file and VDJ should be able to use the file you create.

Or us Rewire in VDJ 8:
Abelton Live as Rewire Slave
VDJ 8.2 Pro Infinity as Rewire Master

But have not test it ,i have not AbletonLive but i think that should work.

With Propellerhead Rebirth that had for some Time works fine

Rewire has been broke for quit awhile now. I mentioned months ago but nothing as been done to fix it yet.....

Have forgotten that was VDJ 7 with Rewire what i have for some Time test it
,eventually that goes too today.
