Topic: Denon 3700s/x1600 issues - Page: 1

This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

I've spent about 3 hours with the new release. Awesome upgrade, but I do have some reoccurring problems with my hardware/effects, along with some questions.

For the denon DNX-1600 mixer- what exactly should my Denon Asio Driver be set to in terms of Milliseconds in the settings? In 7.4 I had it set to 512 MS and when I set it to anything different it would send the playing song all over the place making screeching noises.

When holding the denon 3700 platters for over 3 seconds, the song it's controlling spins out of control and sends the play marker all over the waveform.

Is it known that not all VDJ 7.4 effects are compatible with VDJ 8? I'm assuming these will get corrected, or there will be re-written effects all together for 8?
- Sweep auto is not compatible with VDJ 8.
- Brake-start skips in and out of the brake-start when it first gets activated.

Thank you!

The 3700/3900 players currently have issues with 8 I'm afraid.

Sweep auto should work though!

An error message tells me otherwise that it's not compatible with VDJ 8. Also, dang- looks like you guys are in need of someone with this setup in beta huh??

We have 3700s and 3900s on the beta team - my personal play out system is X1600 and 2x3900s.

Are you PC or Mac?

No v7 Mac plugins are compatible with v8. v7 was 32-bit, v8 is 64-bit on a Mac.

Ah, I see.

PC user here. I can screen shot the message if needed.

Thanks

No need, I'll sort it. I'm in the lengthy process of updating all my plugins anyway!

Not as yet I'm afraid.

And, is the problem with 3700/3900 limited to the platters problem described by DJ Bertie or so? (I also experiment it and it's dangerous to deal with it)
Thanks,

Kaléo.

The 3700s behave as described.

The 3900s work, however at random intervals the audio will drop out and you will lose all control and you have to restart VDJ.

unfortunately it has to do not only with the sound, but as soon as I start a track wobbles the sound for 2 seconds until the engine has the correct speed -> SC3900 with macbook pro and OSX mavericks

Hi everybody,

To begin i want to apologize for my English. I have tried to understand all the discussions but i couldn't.

I have 2 DNS 3700 and i can't use them. The song start 2 or 3 seconds and stop. The plater still turns but no sound and the wave are fixe.

I have a maya 44 usb. I've tested on Windows 8 and Windows 7, both 64 bits. I've tried with the factory default mapper and yours (SBDJ). Nothing. I've had this problem with VDJ 7.4; Actually i must use VDJ 6.05

Thanks for your answers and your help

The 3700 and 3900 do not currently work in VDJ8.

They work fine in VDJ7.4.1 - make sure Jog Pulse is set to 2960/Cycle and that you remove any custom mappers and definition files for the controllers.

Following this thread. I am having the same platter problem here. (2) 3700's and a Behringer ddm4000.... PC Toshiba I7 core. I am loving this new update so far and I am sure the platter problem will get fixed. I feel as if the Scratching is a bit Loose. What I mean is 7.4 feels more responsive and tight to me. keep up the good work I can see the possibilities once this thing is fine tuned.

One more thing... When I hit the brake button on the Denons it triggers the Flanger.... is this fixable?

Feedback :

I've made SBDJ said : change pulse to 2960/cycle and re install VDJ 7.4.1 after VDJ 8. The DNS 3700 works with the factory default mapper. Only some touch doesn't works.

It's progress

In 7.4.1 i dont have problems with the SC3900, but in VDJ 8

I've just tested different configuration : Windows 7 64 bits and Windows 8 64 bits.

DNS 3700 doesn't works with only VDJ 8. I've installed VDJ first and VDJ 7.4.1 after. After DNS 3700 worked. Maybe it's the same for SC3900 but i don't know. Try it. I hope SC3900 will work for you.

Be careful to do exactly what SBDJ said before.

[EDIT] i've just tried to custom the factory default mapper for loop_move with VDJ 8. The new mapper doesn't work.
