Topic: VU meter visualization

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I am looking for VU meter visualization which shows actual outgoing volume per deck. With actual representing the volume after effects, equalizer and gain adjustments.

Background:
I have been hooked on Virtualdj since now close to 10 years.
I started on computer then started to buy material.
Nowadays, I am switching between digital and analog.
Whit that I noticed i didn't have the same VU meter feats on virtual DJ.

I plan to buy either a new mixing panel or a DJ controller.
I am envisaging to go all digital (less stuff to move around when going to jigs) and buy a full controller.
However I am struggling with missing out on the VU-meter feat.

Many of the better controllers and a fair few mixers have this in hardware form so the visualisation is not needed so much.

Skins do have a meter for each Deck although I get your point in that it is not scaled or representative of the post effect level. But it does help with relative level matching. It would be nice to have.

Best plan would be to add your idea to the Wishes and New Features section.

Daz,

Thank you for the hint. I will add to the wishlist.

To the community:
Please feel free to advise your controller if it has the VU meter feat.
It will help me greatly to drill down on the vast number of controllers on the market.

Tons of controllers for VDJ with VU meters.
You can easily change the behavior of these between VU meters and level meters too ... by changing one word in the mapper.

If you look at pictures it will tell .. and many with that as you can see here

VU visualization is a nice idea. it is rather a question of the SBDJ if it's possible.
VU for clubbers and not for DJ. DJ has controller with VU meter.
