Unfortunately we have no time scale for approval.

Can I suggest we all sit back and wait patiently. If we continue to post "when, when, when??" then Atomix may lock the thread to avoid the questions. We don't want this to happen.

Have faith and you will be the 1st to know when it's available!! :-)

well that truly does calm the beast inside me. I only asked because i know that you can actually track the approval process of an app.

When the application is approved and available an announcement will be made here in the forums - just like every update release.

And as ALL should know by now - even if we have an idea of when - we will not announce it until it is FACT and available. Just like any of our software releases.

We know all are eager to have such a great capability for use - but we do not want to set any particular expectations just to have something in the process end up delaying it. It will come soon enough and for all to enjoy.

Thank you for showing your extreme interest.

If you have an ipad and a Windows PC (or bootcamped mac) with wifi, you can use Slashtop remote app currently to control VDJ remotely.

The app is only £0.59 and brings your windows desktop to the ipad in 1024 x 768 so if you are running the default VDJ 1024x768 2 deck skin it will fit perfectly. It works brilliantly and the latency is so good you can even watch video on it.

I have tested this for a couple of weeks on my gigs and it's flawless.

The iremote app being developed will be great for the iphone/touch, but being able to remote control VDJ in a full 1024 x 768 skin from the ipad is even better as you can work it from both the PC and ipad and you have access to your full browser and nested folders.

When you exit the app it puts your PC screen back to it's native resolution and you just switch the skin back to the one you want.

Is it possible to use bluetooth? or can this feature be added sometime soon?

I very rarely have wifi (clubs have LAN?!?) when I am DJ'ing and adhoc connections are very unstable with the iPhone...

i have 2 ipads and 3 iphones available..
THIS IS AWESOME!.. i have a hercules RMX, my guess is that i will not be using it anymore :)

Will we be able to use 1 table on the left on an ipad and 1 table on the right on another ipad and use iphones for FX's?
This will blow-up the new-years party i have plannend on 2010/2011 :)))))

why not make a request queue, people on the network with iphones can browse for songs and make a request which will show up in your request queueueue..

anyhow, i am smiling and excited already!!!

I think it's time for another redundant "when will it show up in the app store ?" post...

C'mon folks, we are waiting for nearly 3 weeks now ! Apple approval of a small and noncontroversial app (no porn, no flash, no forbidden apis) should not take a month !

OK, it's ready when it's ready.... but still... when ? WHEN ? <fx biting nails /fx>

exactly, when i saw this i thought great, wait a few days and it will be on my ipod and i will be mixing, but NO, way over 3 weeks now and NOTHING!!!!!
come on,this is stupid, im annoyed with apple, yea so what thousands of apps being put through for acceptance, prioritize and put the bigger companies first and the small rubbish companies lower down that not many people will want!!!!
i know its not Atomix Productions fault, they have a great idea that must work,as people have pics, but it isnt being noticed by apple,HURRY UP APPLE!!!!

Wired reports (http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2009/11/apple-iphone-app/) that Apple has recently rolled out a new feature for iPhone developers, offering a history of status updates for each application submitted for inclusion in the company's App Store. In Apple's Dev Center website, iPhone app developers can view Apple's progress on reviewing their apps from start to finish. When an app is in line to be reviewed, the status will read "Waiting for Review." And when it's actually being reviewed, the status reads "In Review." Finally, when the app is launched, the status will read "Ready for Sale." Each status update is accompanied with a time and date. While the new system provides only limited updates and does not appear to offer any specific information regarding unusual delays in the review process for a given application, it is regarded as a significant improvement over the previous system in which developers were provided with only generalized wait times for all submissions and generally received no specific updates regarding their applications until review decisions had been made.

Can someone let us know what stage IREMOTE is in????

no Huey, it WILL make no hassle whatsoever. I guess Apple fails to see this as a benefit to the WORLD and think its just a knockoff of TouchOSC... typical control freak Apple...

I myself have an Iphone app. It took a week for approval. I'm lost why there is a delay. After speaking to VJ about the Exponent issues to tech support, The agent on the phone said that it was cool and awesome to play with. That was 2 weeks ago. I myself don't think that Apple has it yet.

if it's anything like other "air MIDI" apps, there should be little to no delay, but that's just speculation.
we have to get our hands on it to really know.
