Copy your VDJ Database and that should do it.

Just install the new version on top of the previous one.
You don't need to uninstall or delete anything.
Installing a new version will preserve all your settings, cues, etc.

The only thing that will be reset when installing a new version, is your skin (that's a security feature, in case someone install a skin without "config" button that can only get rid of by reinstalling).

Does this apply when updating from version 5.2.1? Will I still have all my virtual folders, playlists, cue points, file info etc?

any external hard drives NEED to be connected when you do the update/run for the first time.

Thanks again Hippydog.

Correct me if I'm incorrect. V5 & V6 use diferent databases. V6 will copy & rewrite V5's database. (2 Different databases)

if you have no intention of going back to VDJ 5 you can delete that database.

is you able to have both 5.0 5.2.1 on your computer

I have a back up of the VirtualDj directory AND the all the database files across all my harddrives.

dizon yes it is mate at one stage i had 3 different copies of vdj.
make sure they are different names ie 5.2.1 /6.2.1 ect.i saved mine to desktop and programme folders and created shortcuts for desktop
