Hi all. Just purchased the new version, so I'm all good to go.

But one thing, is it just me, or does left clicking on folders not seem to work very well?

Thanks

Jon

EDIT: Whoops, you hae to click on the actual icon of the folder, not the folder name. Bit of an annoyance.

i can't get vdj to read my timecode vinyl. it stays at 0% with the new engine(v5), with the old engine i get 70% and my video pauses a lot. im using a macbook pro 2.4 under windows. im also using the vv soundcard with vv vinyl.

Just for your information, the user-guide was updated for 5.1 in the install file so do not hesitate to read it.

djcel don't play me for being stupid and not reading the manual, thats the first thing i do before i post on the forum. yes the manual has three trouble shooting errors and none can solve my problems. also im using m44 needles if that makes a different. and if that was ot directed to me then sorry and ignore my post :)

Just going to Analyze a few tracks that I've just downloaded this morning. I see we don't have the 2 BPM options House/Techno or other music anymore. Do we just use scan for BPM for all music types.

Love the new Key Detention though :)

Regarding the new BPM engine, there is a setting in options called "AllowBPM<80", SMART is selected by default. In this mode the engine will calculate the BPM the best it can using WIDE parameters, this is usually correct , but with a minority of songs it can lead to half values. If you are scanning files with a higher BPM than 80, you can turn "AllowBPM<80" OFF, which like its name implies will only look for higher BPM values.

Come again Bagpuss, that went over my head a tad.

*Edit* Get it now, my option is disabled, is that by default. Got my thick head on today. Also love the new View in the timecode config, weird or what, lol

Something to know too:

headphone_mix() function was changed (read the comment in the keyboard shortcut list)

New VDJ functions:

"beat_tap",
"key",
"key_smooth",
"smart_play",
"smart_cue",
"effect_slot_scroll",
"scratch_wheel",
"scratchweel_touch",
"vinyl_mode"

New skin textitem:
- %bpmex: bpm with 2 digits after dot
- %bpmexx: bpm with 3 digits after dot
- %key: original key of song
- %Pkey: key of song including key modifier
- %camelot: camelot key of song

If you want to change with the pitch, add P in front like for every other text item: %Pbpmex or %Pbpmexx.

You can now use chan="automix". It works with "title", "author", "comment", "bpm", "key", "level", "time", "start", "end", "firstbeat", "lastbeat", "linkedvideo".

LOL: second song i analyse is wrong. Not even x2 or /2. It says 84.7 on a song of 128.

Also: no more Mixed In Key numbers? I just see D#m, last version added a number to mix easier.

EDIT: like... the 15th song says 131.4 but the bpm is 130.

I've just installed newer version of VDJ.
In first sight I noticed that wave of single track is smaller than in older version.
Why did you change that??
