First THANKS for the great update.
Little question.
I want to record a videomix.
When I press "record" it says: error, could not find codec.
Do I do something wrong?

this week is like Christmas... first she gets me a Blackberry Pearl... then 5.1 drops. whats next? publisher's clearinghouse showing up at my door?

LOL: second song i analyse is wrong. Not even x2 or /2. It says 84.7 on a song of 128.

Also: no more Mixed In Key numbers? I just see D#m, last version added a number to mix easier.


EDIT: like... the 15th song says 131.4 but the bpm is 130.

Also For ALL - Tap out the BPM using the Smart-Tap feature if you are sure about the BPMs being incorrect.

Page 19 in the manual - Smart Beat Tap uses the left click on the BPM buttons on skins.

Wave of single track is smaller? Only time the waves are smaller is if you are using Automix - where you can see the playing track and the upcoming track. Outside of that - don't know what you are describing. Can you provide a pic.

ditto. i have the codec, and tried to test it out and got same error message.

ditto. i have the codec, and tried to test it out and got same error message.

It simply means that you don't have the MPEG4 codec on your computer. This codec is selected by default because it offered the best results during our tests.

So you have 3 solutions:
* install the MS-MPG4 codec (linked to the MPG4c32.dll file) [It comes with Windows Media Player]
OR
* you write another codec in VirtualDJ: it's based on FOURCC name (for example: DIVX)
OR
* you download the last version of my "Registry Tool" which includes a codec selector

Sorry if it's a silly question, but how can I download the MS-MPG4 codec? I've got windows media player on my laptop (comes as part of vista) and I get that same error when I try to record a video.

The new skin doesn't fit my screen!

Why only provide the skin in one size? It would be better to have a selection, including widescreen.

The best solution would be for VDJ to have a GUI that resizes and fits any screen, like a standard Windows program.

I am very pleased to see the key feature though. :-)

still no joy recording, i have the mpeg4 codec, dont know how to write a codec, and the registry tool looks neat but i dont know much about changing anything in there or even if i should...

good .......now maybe he wouldconsider new revenue streams ,like Chuck's Spinners (spinning rims for yer donut ) or my NEW Thumper car stereo ....it doesn't play or tune ANYTHING it just THUMPS @ a guaranteed 95 db ....

i want one of those holodeck thingies Cstoll said they designed ........

i'm gonna be most interested in the BPM , the adjustable cues in automix and video features in general ......i'm justa strip club and mobile guy

my favorite question is what are all these wires and crap ....FOR ??
