When software for the HC4500 is working 100 %. I think it would be the controller of the year. Ive seen lots of people selling their Denon HD2500s. They all want to buy the HC4500 instead.

Yes u can get the home edition or buy the herc mk2/mp3 n get djc edition. Alternatively u can get Cue LE which came as a gift too when u buy total control etc.

But with the cheaper version, u will have limitation so my advised is full pro is the way to go;) (VDJ Pro, CUE, NVV)

Hope to see u with us soon.

I wonder if it’s possible to program bottoms light (get the light on bottoms) in midi mapping
For Denon HC4500

Thanks

yes, its both possible for a user to make his own (a DLL file, you need to know a bit of C++ programming)
http://www.virtualdj.com/developers/

But it will also be so inside VDJ nativly, with support for lights and all

No, it's not currently possible to light LED's via the general MIDI mapper, although this may be possible in a future update to VDJ.

The only way to do this at present is via a mapper plugin .DLL, which requires native support in VDJ, and programming skills (C++) to code the plugin.

I am currently working on a plugin for the controller, but unfortunately the freezing problem still occurs. This will hopefully be fixed when Denon release their updated firmware.

With programming knowledge, a C++ compiler such as Microsoft Visual C++ Express and the VDJ developer SDK ( http://www.virtualdj.com/developers/ )

Also, the full version of VDJ is required (Or Cue or PCDJ VJ) - Controller plugins cannot be used with the trial or home editions.

Depends on your programming skills and what you want to achieve. The more complex the mapper is, the longer it takes to develop, test and debug.

Will the bew firmware work with the 5500?

Posted Mon 04 Feb 08 @ 2:32 pm
Of Course...NOT!!!!

Each piece of hardware have their own firmware.

Ok!

I have downloaded Denon HC4500 driver update (1005)
and I use PCDJ VJ rev6.

And guess what, I hade a gig for 240 min and no "hanging"

I notice some small "drifting" when I used the pitch bend.
(Sometimes not always) and It’s the only negative thing
I found.

But the rest it’s fantastic.

My intention with this topic was to make the producer
Hurry up.

I think that we had waited for a long time.
Well I am happy with the result, I thing that some people
At Denon have worked hard to get this update out fast(er).

Thanks for that!!

And Tanyla I will follow your advice now.

I have Downloaded Virtual Vinyl (Cue) rev 7 and they still don’t
Have Denon HC4500 as a native player. (Sad)

Due to marketing issue, Numark software did not have native support, only VDJ have. And pls register ur VV in ur profile. Thanks.
