Hello help!!!
I am runnin a P3 1000 with 640MB Ram in a Think Pad
For some strange reason my computer is using 190MB
Ram at Idle with only Task Manager running....
Any suggestions why it is using so much Ram

Nothing really strange here.

If you use Windows XP, and maybe some background software (anti-virus for exemple).

Is XP your operating system?

Yes it is XP pro....Ram should be much lower,i removed the firewall..etc

XP runs at lot of services by default which you may not need, check out the site below, this will help you disable these services and thus free up more RAM.

Make sure you create a system restore point before hand though!

You can access 'Services' via Start > Control Panel > Settings > Administrative Tools > Services

Thanks you and Kaleo were right too many services and background programs. Restore point also use a lot.
