Topic: no more eq on headphones (VDJ4)

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Hi All,

The EQ buttons of my MKII don't make any difference no more when prelistening in the headphones. No matter how I turn the knobs left or right, the audiosignal in the headphones remains the same - quite some base there. The EQ buttons seem to only apply on the outputted signal. However, when using my Mk2/Mp3 version of the VDJ software, equalising the headphone signal is possible.

Anybody knows about this? Maybe just a setting but I haven't found it so far.
Thx for any help.

I did the deed, but VDJ started conflicting in different ways since using the Cels tool. Since I untoggled the 'Eqinheadphone' it seems to be allright again with the program.

Could it be the tool itself? Shall I maybe change the value via Start- Run - Regedit.exe?

If so, is there an easy way to find that string, something I should watch out for when changing the value?

thx already

k ;)

Cel's tool might been latest .Net or something .. not sure. Works great here..

But its very easy to do manually too.. ;)

In windows:
press "Start" >>then "run" >> and type "regedit.exe"

at the regedit window, search for "EqInHeadphones"
Will take about 10-20 sec to find it.

Then double click the entry, and change the value from O to 1

Easy, Safe.. and working ;)

Thx, think I should find it, however since using the Cels tool the tracks that I drag onto the decks don't seem to load anymore - the waveform doesn't change color anymore. When then just trying to click at a random moment in the song/waveform, the sound starts to stutter and VDJ jams. (I use the DJC Edition skin and normaly the dark blue changes to a lighter blue when loading a track)

Is this a preset maybe? I didn't think I changed any however..

..don't bother. Got it. 'Options - Max Load - Allways'

Now let's check for the refedit.exe

cheers

looks like running the Cels tool changes the value for 'Max Load' to 'none', which should be 'Allways'
so just need to readjust after applying the tool

(relief)

do you wan't to have a new problem.. ;)

Normaly the deck on which you drag a track, becomes highlighted, and this untill you drag another track on the first deck again.. obvious (and endless;)

however, the decks do not highlight anymore now when dragging a track onto it..

I can't seem to find the setting/button.

In the Mk2/Mp3 version no prob however.

I hope it's not about choosing between 'Eqheadphones' or 'highlighting decks' cause I prefer to have'm both..

it ain't related to the Cel's tool.
Ok but still can't seem to find the setting for this..
