Topic: TIP: How to turn on headphone EQ in VDJ 4.1

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

In windows:
Start >> run >> regedit.exe

Search for the string : EqInHeadphones

Change the value from O to 1

;)

(maybe Cel can add this to the registry tool ? )

ANY TIPS on how to disable the Loop Sampler from being heard from both decks?

Like, if I put one Loop Sample to the other deck, and then use the crossfader to crossfade it in.

Another purpose of this is so that I could pre-listen.

ANY TIPS FOR THAT?

Its not possible yet, but might be soon... its on the list to do some with the sampler engine.

What you can do today, is only use external mixer, with 3 or more channels, and have sampler to one channel at the mixer...

that way you can both prelisten, and adjust the volume of samples, independent of the music on the decks

Can that be done with a BCD2000?

yeah... if you have another soundcard at your pc, for example the PC's own soundcard

Use the BCD2000 for both decks in VDJ (2 outputs from BCD2000) (first card)
Then send the samples to the second card, and use that output to its own channel in an external mixer

This new eq in headphones feature doesn't apply to those using external mixers. Does it really?

nope... not at all ;)

The thread kinda changed, as he asked how to use sampler at an external mixer... ;)

The headphone EQ option in registry, is for mixing WITHOUT external mixer (on say Hercules MK2)

Hi idmk

Decimal is to base 10 and will be shown as 0123456789
Hexadecimal is to base 16 and will be shown as 0123456789abcdef

Because we are using only 1 it is the same in either its only once we hit 10 in decimal it is A in hexadecimal.

Hope this helps

Thanks for your post, now I'm happy with the BCD-2000 and the VDJ so now I only have a problem with the gain on headphones and I cannot find the registry on Windows, can you help me?.

Thanks and regards!

I guess that gain is not ready for headphones yet.
