A Short question, how do you create straight lines (With curved corners) that arn't squares? perhaps one that was shaped lile a big hollow L maybe?

I know you can draw freehand, but then my lines are never straight, or the corners are sharp and um, well, un-curved! There has to be a snap to grid type shape drawer in photoshop (CS2), that will let you choose line styles and corner types.

Thanks in advance

Use the pen tool to drag & curve vector lines ("paths"), which either renders the shape automatically, or just creates the path which you can than render yourself (stroke path or fill path) by right clicking the path.
