How do u find out what your up and down bitrate speed is?
Especially upload speed?

Your bandwidth is measured in kilobits per second (or megabits+ if you can afford it). To test your bandwidth try this website:

If you are going to use VDJ to connect to a shoutcast server and your connection is only 128kbps upload, try not to use a rate higher than 96kbps to broadcast. A good rule is to multiply your bandwidth by 0.8 and try not to broadcast at any rate higher than that.

If you are broadcasting from your PC (i.e. accepting connections to your PC) you will need to do the appropriate math. E.g. if your upload is 128kbps and you want to broadcast to four people:

128 * 0.8 = 102.4
102.4 / 4 = 25.6

So you wouldn't want to broadcast at higher than 24kbps, which honestly sounds quite terrible. I'm not sure if finding out your bandwidth was related to broadcasting, but someone may find this useful nontheless :)
