Topic: Poll: Screen Resolution? - Page: 1

This part of topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information

Hello, I was just wondering what screen-resolution everyone is using.

Could you please list the maximum resolution that your desktop (& screen) or laptop supports? (Not the resolution you are currently using.)

Thanks!

laptop maxed out at 1024x768.

Jim, You are a Skin guru, if anyone is currently looking at new laptops, what resolutions should he be looking for?
How's that centrino wide screen working out for you anyway?

Once again I would to like see a new features for the people that use VDJ with a widescreen LCD that would lock the window in place. This could help when you need to beat mix. or when you use 1024 by 768.

Thanks to all who have replied. It seems as 1024*768 is still the most common resolution.

The reason I asked is because I wanted to know if more people are looking for even bigger high-resolution skins.
As computer-screens gets bigger, the demand for bigger skins is likely to increase. More and more features are added, and if most people are like me, they want them shown in the visual interface, the skin.

Rick:
Hi Rick. My laptop is working fine. I haven't been mixing alot, but when using VDJ, it runs very smoothly. No sound or performance issues.
It has a widescreen, which is good, because now I can fit more into the screen/skin. I'm always looking for more space, or how to use space more efficiently. HAving a widescreen solves some design problems. :)

The only "problem" I have with it is that it supports only 1920*1200 as a widescreen resolution. (no 1600*1000, no 1200*800) (REgular modes such as 1024*768, 1600*1200 I can use, but the screen gets stretched.)
I've tried updating drivers and everything else I can think of, but with no luck. If I could only run it in 1200*800... :(

Therefor I'm making a monster skin (1920*1200) to work with my laptop. I guess not many VDJ users out there use this resolution, but I'm making it for myself. And it's starting to look very nice. It's the Platinum skin but with two large scratch-discs, panels, and m.m.

Cheers...

Hey Jim, I too would appreciate a 1920 X 1200 32 bit screen as well for my Dell D800. I think making skins that size is a good idea as I see the trend and price of laptops going that direction anyhow. Today there might not be that many users with wide screen laptops, but I would be willing to wager in a year and a half a third or more VDJ laptop users will have wide screens.

My laptop has 1400x1280 (last figure I guess) resolution, and when I start Virtual DJ it is very blurry. I can't lower the resolution because it is a UXGA+ screen or something like that.

Any suggestion what to do?
