Sampler will NOT play on the output I choose?!?
Itβs all in the video or I can upload to YouTube.
Have a gig Wednesday and Iβd love to be able to use VDJ.

Seems to work correctly with all output selections on my DDJ1000 (all decks, trigger deck, headphones, master), however the audio mixing is internal and sent directly to the outputs (master and/or headphones) in that case, while the X1800 is internal.
However, it also works as expected n my DJM-S11 (although 4 channels are listed, the first two work as expected).

Random questions
- Did you run through all of the channels as a selection to see if the audio was picked up?
- Do you happen to have the mixerOrder setting to anything other than 3124?

I can only get it to work on the "trigger deck" which I don't as I have 4 channels.

Is your computer connected to USB-1 or USB-2?
If it's connected to USB-1 then it makes sense - you have the deck selector set to USB-2 for that particular trial (not sure about Thru though, I thought that would be ignoring software input from both sides and taking in analog input). Maybe just make sure the USB selector is on the correct side for all the decks? I also see that mixer has more options for input selection - is that set to USB in all cases?
You didn't remap the input selector in any way right?

All 4 decks are on USB 1 and I have never remapped the "A-THRU-B" switch.
If I had it set to USB 2 we wouldn't hear any sound no matter where that switch is set because the sound would need to come from another laptop that is using that side which in my case there isn't another laptop hooked up.

So in the second video, I could see that the two leftmost channels have their selectors (bottom of the channel) fader to side A, and the right two are to side B, and you moved the 4th one to thru. Given you only have one computer connected, shouldn't they all be on one side, the side of the computer, A or B?
Edit: I realize that is the crossfader select on rewatch not the deck select so yep you can ignore that info.

So those switches are for the crossfader basically. You have 2 sides (think of it as deck 1 & 3 are on the left and deck 2 & 4 are on the right) when that switch is set in the βthruβ position you are essentially bypassing the crossfader.
So it would seem that the deck assignment in the sampler is confused by this for a lack of a better explanation on my end I guess.
I hope that makes sense?

Yep I see that's the crossfader assign section. Is your crossfader set to hamster by chance (either on the hardware if it has that control, or in VirtualDJ via the option crossfaderHamster)?

That just fixed it!!!
So "Crossfader Disable" was set to "NO"
I switched it to "YES" and now everything is working how its supposed to!!
Thanks for the time and help man!!

NP man, the rewatch and seeing that thru made it work with the crossfader to the correct side made me think/reflect on scratching preferences.
Like most people, I arrived at settings that work for me and I don't touch them/even back them up manually, and it's easy to tweak something and end up like that.
Didn't want you to have to switch last minute to Serato πΊ
