Help - I have transferred from Mixx for live broadcasting to Virtual DJ . However the software doesn't seem to show a microphone button with levels etc. I am using a berringer sound card with a derringer mixing deck and a numark Mixtrack 3. On Mac book. The microphone is connected to the mixing desk.
How do I enable the microphone and see its live / levels indicators - or have I purchased the wrong software?
Urgent help need as I am due to broadcast.

Not sure what " a derringer mixing deck " is... And what Mixtrack model?
where is the mic connected.. ?
If its a hardware mic (not computer mic), the mic is external of the computer and usually needs to be routed back into the computer (either analogue via cable, or in driver if it has a loopback). And many dj controllers the mic is in hardware only (going straight to speakers out of the controller, and not heard by the computer and VirtualDJ)
If so, you dont use the mic in VirtualDJ, but rather a record entry equal to where you have the "loopback"
