I'm happy with all the work that's been done thus far and VDJ is a great program

but.........

Are ever gonna get things like FX routing or even postfade fx's?? Why after all this time do we still not have these things??

Are we ever gonna have QTZ file support on the Mac side?? That would great for visualizations.

seems my other name "djstardust" is reserved as well. Pretty much rules out using the ask.the.dj function for me if both hashtags can't be used.

Did anyone check if these users are still "active"?

There's always a drawback somewhere.

ok we'll make an option in a future build to monitor a non-unique hashtag on twitter

You can choose a username as long as no-one else registered on the forum is using it already.

Updated right now to 8.2 to find out the sampler output is really crappy shen synced to mastertempo.
Lots of crackles now ... were rock solid before updating. Have to downgrade again .....

In the latest build (b3205), go in options, search for AskTheDJTwitterHashtag, and put the hashtag you want to monitor. It will override the unique DJ name or keyword that you chose for Ask The DJ.

(note: http://ask.the.dj/ will still use the unique dj name or keyword, only twitter will use the overridden hashtag)

if you're on mac, you need to download it manually (cf second post in this thread).

I just asked support, because my username was given to me and I never chose this one myself back in the days :)
But the support answer was very simple and short:

"Can't do it" and "keep trying as long as needed for a unique name". LOL, first time ever I use support and this was not a satisfying experience...

:(

Now I'm stuck with my real life name and I really want to start using my Business Dj name everywhere. I don't want my full name in ask the dj and my business name keeps telling me it's in use, but even google can't find another dj with my dj name. Little bit frustrated.

PS: New version allows you to set non-unique name for Twitter monitoring.

My dj name is

Dj RoyoR

This Dj RoyoR name is used by me on twitter, instagram, facebook, internet etc.
I just read there is a newer build. Will download that also

Unfortunately someone else has picked this nickname.

PS:
My own personal nickname is "PhantomDj"
"PhantomDj" is taken from a very - very - very long inactive user account.
However we still DON'T change nicknames and we DON'T close inactive accounts.
Therefore my nickname here remains the closest I could find when I originally created my account: "PhantomDeejay"
Please DO NOT flood support with requests to change nicknames.

Just tried the new Twitter setting to change the hashtag and it works fine.
