I have to agree with chucktown here, the program becomes rather slow, jumpy and is more likely to crash when it is recording. It could be a setting I haven't figured out yet though

If you're talking about video recording then you need to ensure you are using a decent video card. An Intel card for example will be extremely limiting.

Oh yes the video card is key, you also may want to experiment with different codecs.
I'd be happy to get together with anyone that is having issues with video playback, recording, streaming.
We can skype, chat, email, whatever; I enjoy tinkering with videos.

I'd love to hear a story how it's cost someone their job :).

Yes. Lets all be patient everyone. 7.5 works great for me. 8.0 is a gift when its ready and free, how could you beat that! I've been around although not very active on the boards since the beginning of VDJ and the team always does a great job! I think there was one version in there that was put out and everyone had all sorts of issues, although there was a quick fix. Can't remember which one but it was earlier on. That would be much worse.

Correcting above, I meant to say the version seems to come out "quickly" and was buggy...

I can't stop myself from checking this site everyday since last year for vdj8 to get released. It's driving me nuts.
Arrrrg. Anyways vdj 7 works fine for me.

Chuck Norris could have written the entire VDJ 8 software in 1 hour. Just saying. :P

I really hope that it will arrive next week. Think about it. Big presentation of the finished version at the DJ Expo, followed by an immdiate release.
But that's just wishful thinking...
Man, as much as I like the current version, the waiting is killing me. (No need to hurry, though. Take your time.)
Why would he? Chuck Norris doesn't need music, to make people dance.

My theory is that it'll be released around the time of the bpm show. Would be Nice if it did get released at the Expo but considering all or most of the team is somewhere across the Atlantic they'll wait till then........ but Yes I agree this version is super stable and the wait is killing me as well.

He is just joking, everyone want's it but it hurts too much to keep thinking about it... And if you need more get into scripting or skinning the current version, you will find that VDJ7's possibilities on PC exceed any other software currently available for the intermediate user, That gap is closed if you can program for MAC ;)

@synthet1c...great point about scripting and skinning BUT for a computer illiterate like me, it is like trying to learn a new language;) maybe one of these days I will understand it....
