Topic: Sampler Question

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I know i might be touching nerves with these questions but, Doesn't beatlock means that the sample shouldn't change pitch when it is synced. if so why are my loop pitch still being altered when beatlock is selected?

make it look like this and it will play the sample beatlocked without correcting the pitch.. meaning if your sample was recorded at 120bpm and you beatlock it to a 90bpm track it will lower the pitch of the sample, if you beatlock it to a 140bpm track you will raise the pitch of the sample

Ok, That just made the loop play normal and not synced. am i missing something

you must be doing something wrong then, the reason I gave you that example is I tested just before posting, that was my result. With your samples you need to have the beatgrid set perfectly on the source, loop the track then press record.

All my samples are from producer sample packs, that is how I set them all up, this way the beatgrid information gets recorded with the sample so the loops play perfectly beatsynced to the active deck every time.

just to clarify

loop - on
match pitch - off
beatlock - on

I just produced the sample myself in fruity loops...I made a track with it to check the timing. it was perfect. the sample is at 157.1bpm. I edited/ recorded the loop in vdj by setting the loop and pressing record...IDK what the deal is...

stick it on zippy share or similar link it here and I'll have a look if you want

i will. got a gig to shoot to...check back with me later

Heres how I have mine set,

I dont use beatlock cause when I scratch the sample scratches with me.

Guys I am still having a problem. Is it a way to have the samples beatmatched without a pitch change? Meaning the samples pitch stays the same but its beat matches the master bpms.
