Where is the best place to download music videos?

HA HA Ha,

8th wonder, only really good for American audiances, mainly hip hop with some pop and older cheese.

depends if you mean legal or....illegal.

depends if you are bedroom dj or.... pro dj doing gigs.


there are many sites on the web to give you music / music videos.....
quality can vary drastically....


if pro and doing gigs like 90% of us on here.....

I use them for my music vids and the quality is excellent...( bloody well should be ).
They have a excellent selection of music vids catering for all styles.

dont go down the youtube route or similar.....you wil only give your customers a very bad impression of yourself....that you dont want...besides making you look like a complete twat !




there are other sites like Promo only...google is your best friend...er....and the guys on here !
 
Promoonly sucks!! They don't even edit there videos, meaning, have you ever watched avideo when all of a sudden the music stops and they start talking like its a movie.........well that's what you'll get from them. So you'd still have to edit it and add your own track!! Have a look in the "Music Video" thread there's alot out there that are way better in my opinion.

but i only do pub work / odd party ......guess if you do club work then maybe promo only aint for you...

I have a few vids like that so I have a cue point set right after the stop point then hit the cue, nobody seems to notice. I agree that PO should edit their videos so we don't have to do this because if your busy doing something esle, BAM!! Everybody goes AHHHHH. But I am happy with the quality of Promo Onlys videos.
 
I thought with PO you had track 1 full version with intro and track 2 was the cut version.

Thought these guys we're pretty good for video selection. Can't use them anymore for Canada since we have strict licensing laws here. Still works good for U.S. customers and the rest of the world I'm assuming.

Not if you search for the HD stuff.
 
I use Promo Only's new download service. You pay £40 a month and get the videos as they are released instead of waiting till the end of the month for them all to be compiled on one disc. Generally you get new videos every week. For an extra tenner you can get the physical disc when it's pressed as well.

However, the comment about the talking over the top like a movie is correct. The place could be jumping and all of a sudden there's a conversation coming over your speakers!!! Unfortunate but then you should know your music well enough to know to avoid these instances IMHO.

Quality is pretty good but for us mobile/karaoke jocks who don't do club work they're not the most practical...as alot of stuff i don't use. In all fairness there's not been any really great song releases so far i don't think.

However, having the videos to top your show off is great.

Anyone know were i can get a video for paolo nutini - pencil full of lead?

Promoonly is NOT permitted to LEGALLY edit videos without permission from the labels. (Nor is anyone else for that matter) Promoonly is one of the few LICENSED DISTRIBUTORS in the U.S. I've been using Promo Only for 14 years, what one chooses is their choice as is their opinion. It is my "opinion" that anyone who's serious about video learn how to edit their own videos.
 
Yeah I can edit video and a I can take a jab aswell. Are you sure promo doesn't pay you?? I have read your spill on the experience forums................

Huey: If I take a “Jab” (which is rare) it normally leaves a bid red mark, your RX Icon looks fine to me. I was simply providing you with the reason they don’t edit their videos. And no, they don’t pay me, I pay them a couple thousand dollars a year because I insist on the highest quality, 100% legal videos I can purchase. To each THEIR own.

ok guys not robbing thread but any vjs here know good sites for say 60s to 90s videos...i use 8th wonder but i am a party/pub dj and 8th mostly hip hop ect i will stay using it i like the intro/outro rnb videos.cheers guys
 
Postal service is no use. Will continue to use google and have a look see. no illegal stuff normally all crap, some comments and suggestions have been noted.

i used to use Promo Only CD's

i would use them for video , if they had a download service
