Topic: Looping not staying with song like serato and Normalize Files

I have just switched to Virtual DJ from Serato. It has taken a little getting used to but not as bad as I thought it would be. I have 2 problems that I would like to know how to fix.

1. Serato had a option to normalize the audio to certain loudness like 92-95. Where is that in Virtual DJ
2. Looping - I had loops setup already setup in Serato and every time I would bring that file back up it would already have the loop set all I had to do is activate the loop. Is that possible in Virtual DJ.

I have used Serato for over 4 years and it has been great, but I must say that Virtual DJ does have the all in one video options with overlays and texting and clipbanks. I used to carry 2 laptops and another controller just to do video now I do everything with one laptop. Thanks VirtualDJ

Welcome to VDJ :)

I'm not sure about loops like you mentioned, but I know that you can set cues that will be remembered in the file.

I hope some other more experienced member can answer you soon.
 
Thanks for the help. I have setup cue points so that is working ok.
 
I would still like to know if the looping is possible instead of always you cue points. I sometimes use the cue point to let me know that a break is coming and I don't want to get confused with that.
 
I set up cue points than I use the number buttons 1,2,4,5 etc to make the loop
 
No, VDJ does not save loop points like Serato, for now. Hopefully in the future this will change but as of right now, no.

I've actually got a plugin here that allows you to use cue point names to trigger loops ;)
 
you can also rename your cue points. So if you come up with a system of what to call your cue points for loops and another one of calling the cue for just the cue of it.

Like numbers for regular cues and letters for loops. As you hover over the cue the name shows.

So is there a option for the normalization of the mp3's and mp4's like serato?
