Yeah I wish that.
Not only do I like VDJ, I enjoy using it. I find VDJ to be a perfect software ranging from its looks to its functionality, except for the turntablism part. Anyways VDJ TEAM thanks for such a piece or art of software you have put in our hands, it makes my life as a Dj much easier and much enjoyable.

But why what?

Thanks for the constructive comments chachi. Perhaps you should actually elaborate on your problems instead of making sarcastic comments, and someone could even try to help since there are people here who scratch on TCV and don't complain about it...

what are you talking about? i'm a turntablist and have no issue with vdj for that. i cut, juggle, double up whatever with no problems. if your talking about the skins you do know there are ones made for turntablists.

I think what he means is, he can't mix/use turntables, mabe he's a CD/Midi DJ?
Posted Wed 27 Oct 10 @ 10:01 am
Hi, from his message I got(and not only me i think ) that he's completely happy about vdj, EXCEPT for turntablism part, and so I asked why
but let's wait his reply :)

.....And not try to read his mind or speak for him, because I have no idea what his gripe is, and I do have some knowledge of the English language. Well, very little.

Firefox just closed unexpectedly, after a wrote a big reply to your comment. So this time I will be brief.
I am not been sarcastic, when I say turntablism everybody right away thinks about scratching. VDJ has no problem handling scratching. My thanks to the VDJ team are honest, they really have a good and stable software, I love it and I enjoy using it. I use VDJ on a regular basis, with DAC 3 controller, Numark Total Control or with VDJ or Serato TCV, by the way since VDJ 6 TCV engine has improve enormously.
I did not open this thread asking for help or to be negative on any matter about the subject. I am just giving feedback on the matter and wishing that this could work like Serato or Traktor when speaking of drift. By the way Traktor has cero drift, I test it my self, I havent got the chance to try Serato, any way I would like to see this on VDJ.
Now, maybe beat juggling or turntablism tricks on Absolute Mode is a no problem with VDJ, I don't know, I don't use Absolute Mode. But on Relative or Smart Mode when back spinning the wave form tends to shake, making a big drift on the physical cue on the record. I have try this with Traktor, Serato and VDJ TCV, I end up with the same shaking waveform when spinnig back the record, now this doesnt happen if I loop back the TCV with my finger, but if I pull back to back spin I get the shaky waveform and the big cue drift.
No disrespect for the TEAM, Software or Forum Members. I honestly thank the TEAM for such a great Product.
Now that being said, search around youtube, and show me some vids of beat juggling done with VDJ like I've seen DJ Shiftee or Rafik doing with Traktor or Dj Jazzy Jeff & Dj Am with Serato.
Am I saying something that's not true?
What I am wishing here is the best for VDJ, not criticizing or denigrating the software that I use the most.

mine doesn't drift? whats your system specs, settings etc? if you wanna hear some "turntablism" with vdj www.djsynystr.com/MB5/MB5.zip blendz mixtape made with VDJ. not knocking you just curious to why your having the issue.

Then why not just say that in the first post, and not be so vague? Instead, we end up with a bunch of guys scratching their heads, trying to figure out what you are talking about. If I want to be confused, I can get a lap dance.

probably more to do with your TT's and TCV setup...a little tweaking of the settings doesn't hurt either. I personally don't have any problems...

I appreciate your concern
I have play many times with TCV settings and Performance Tab. Also I level very well my turntables, tone arm and cart.
I use SL1200 TT's with brand new Shure M44-7. With M-Audio Torq/Conectiv I also get some drift, some, but I dont get the shaking wave form when back spinning, no matter how fast or hard I pull back on the record. I also did some test using Traktor witch I had cero / nada of drift what so ever on relative mode.
I am a VDJ and Torq fanboy, so why will I put VDJ down with any bad comment, maybe on the past yes, but not anymore.

I would not know, since I have never been there. Pay a little more attention to the message and not my attitude, Dude.
Wait a minute, did I just say Dude?. Who says that anymore?
Bad day to stop using crack.

Very Pro said for an Ultra VIP Member, very diplomatic and educated. Tells much why sometimes people speak the way they do about DJ's.

Nice mix and scratches, many props to you.

I will explain again to the Forum. I don't have any issues with VDJ handling scratching.
Beat Juggling and Scratching Are Not The Same
Scratching is a DJ or turntablist technique used to produce distinctive sounds by moving a vinyl record back and forth on a turntable while optionally manipulating the crossfader on a DJ mixer
Beat juggling is the act of manipulating two or more samples (e.g. drum beats, or vocal phrases), in order to create a unique composition, using multiple turntables and one or more mixers. This can involve pauses, scratching, backspins and delays

Thank you for the compliment, but you are drifting, let's stay focused on the issue.

This one's going in circles. Maybe a Mod can lock it down
DJ chachi should contact support and provide specifics of his problem

I still say dude, as a matter of fact most guys I know still say dude! Maybe its a southern California thing.
Anyway I think your being a bit harsh on this dude!
I didn't take anything negative from his post, the only thing was that he didn't elaborate more on his problem when he wrote his original post.
Even though he didn't elaborate on his problem you were all quick to jump on him before he started explaining his problem, he's obviously not using a crack since it says right under his name that he is a profession user!
anyway, I think this thread is going nowhere since a bunch of you were quick to jump to conclusions.
