@ getafix.....though theres a lot of choices out there...you cant go wrong with the RMX and the new one which has touch sensative jogs and its 4 channels....and there will be a discount on the Vdj purchase.

There not actully "Touch Sensative", they have to be pressed down just a lil bit. But yeah they seem like great units so you cant go wrong with either 1.
Good Luck

The Touch Sensative sensor it's similar to what is present into the Pioneer CDJs, really professional ;)

cheers...
im definatly swaying towards the 4-mx... although i originaly wantied the rmx, i figure since i dont want to have to replace it for a good few years that i should go for the 4-mx as it has better jog wheels. and to be honest i would probably mess up trying to mapp the rmx to get it to switch the decks in the same way. cant wait to get my hands on one next month. be a nice little pre xmas present to myself. if i wantied to get the timecode kit for it at some point would i be able to use them in conjunction with the midi or would i need to get a seperate mixer to use them??
thanks to everyone for there help and replies :)

Hello guys! Sorry if this is a repost. Been reading many threads and posts and haven't seen it.
I have Hercules RMX & VDJ Pro 7.0.1
1. How do I make it so when I"m recording a mix, whatever I say on the MIC also gets recorded onto the mp3?
2. What's the best setup for latency problems?
3. Has anyone asked or wished for a monitor output to be added to the Hercules (I guess for future ones) Would it be something that if we can all ask for they'll listen?
Thanx all

I don't think it looks like a "toy" at all, its rack mountable for one thing.... How do the other controllers look more professional???? I've seen them all, I like my RMX but this is a step up as I want to be able to scratch like "normal" which means not having a delay between the time I move the jog wheel, let go and the track moving.
Only the larger Pioneers and Denons have a mode where the jog function is switch to a vinyl function. All the other smaller job wheel CDJ's; you have to use pressure on the job wheel. People think that means actually firmly pushing down. Not all at, the weight of your hand will be enough pressure.
Looking forward too it.

thats nice...but....why everyone use them hot cues to RE-Trigger? I hate that!..if you cant do it with scratchin well dont do it...he,he on the serious side...I'm wondering...how does these touch jogs compare to say the numark's mixtracks?

Where do you guys get this touch sensor stuff from?? It doesn't have it. Its a WEIGHT sensor. The platters have to be pressed down...............go back to the FIRST page and read the product description.

HA,haHa...huey...thats because you dont like controllers you sayd....but let me get this straight.you mean that what our numark represensetive member called "Numark's Patented touch sensetive platters are just "weight" pressed giant buttons? Oh,oh...oops!
Posted Wed 01 Dec 10 @ 7:21 am
Lmao!! No the Numarks are touch sensitive the Hercules has the weight sensor. I like Controllers just not these little tiny ass things. Why they gotta be so small, everything all cramped together. Just makes no sense to me.

Went to the link but it says...
We're sorry, but Hercules DJ Console 4-MX DJ Controller is sold out at this time, or is no longer available.
Maybe release is delayed?

Hi Folks,
The original release date for the UK (Europe) was to be the 22nd of November but from what i can gather none of the main distribution outlets actually have any consoles yet?
I spoke to Hercules and on Nov 22nd the new modular rack mount kit was also to be available with the 4-MX console, but from what i can see no sign of that either???
I was hoping to have one pre Christmas but i need to wait until the rack mount kit comes out also as i use flight cases.
From what i can see it might be well into the new year before the 4-MX is reaily avaible with the asociated kit, unless anyone can advise different??
I would have thought Hercules would be keen to capture the Christmas market but it appears not.....
Simon.
