Hey guys,
It's been a while since I've made one of these - this is a question I've been getting A LOT lately, so I thought I'd answer in a video:

Great Vid Socross....your right it does seem that everyone asks the same question at once...

let them know that if they mix videos.. and want the fader to be linked to the switchin of the videos then an external mixer will not be the solution unless that fader is midi since only the audio of the video will get mixed and not the video.

Good call, I'll add an annotation to the vid. Thanks!

socross ... always love your vids ... but do me a favor one thing you don't mention is changing the Crossfader option in the Config panel to DISABLED. Btw, this is very critical in using the MIDI or keyboard shortcuts to move the crossfader if the user is doing videos and forgot to uncheck the 'link crossfaders' option in the Video config section.
What this does is now if for some reason the internal fader does get moved OFF of CENTER then it will not mess with independent signals going to the external mixer. Also, since the application is defaulted to a SMOOTH crossfade - by simply leaving it in the center you are actually getting a 'reduced' level of output because the SMOOTH crossfade curve is a X volume effect.
Something to look at ...
and great vid ... will add it to the wiki when you are done ...

Excellent point, I've added an annotation that tells people to disable the internal crossfader. Thanks!!
