Topic: PCDJ 5.2 style autocue feature wanted.

Greetings gang -

Besides the 'stutter' cue of old RED, I really miss it's autocue. I know why, due to the vinyl emulation perspective.

Well, RED had an autocue setting (off/on with level threshold).

For me, it was helpful b/c it eliminated the quiet part of a track just prior to the first beat or when there was an audio signal.

I know the automix has it but I am talking for manual load of tracks.

Right now I LOVE VDJ over old RED but this feature would make me even more happy.

Here is what I suggest:

Autocue on/off for manual load.

Set the level threshold.

Ability to have it write the cue point to database. But make it selectable.

Again, I MISS this from old RED.

for manual load you can switch on the "Auto cue" option in the config menu. It will automatically jump to the first "sound" in the song. You only have to wait until the song is loaded.

Think I tried that and did not work. It always goes to the beginning of the track - including silent parts.
 
Just set a cue point at the frst beat on every song. Have the autocue function enabled & when you next load the track it will be from the first cue point instead of the start fo the track.
 
Doing that now...

But every now and then the database needs rebuilding - and with it goes the cue points.

I am always adding/updating/pruning audio tracks.
 
Well, I tried it and yup - it does work.

I think someone should clarify the 3 settings for idiots like myself. :)

I still like my idea but can use this as a work around.

So when AUTOCUE is set to "ALWAYS" it looks like the program is attempting to autocue (skip silence) but it doesn't seem to work well at all. The threshold seems to be too high.

For example, when I load "At Last" it skips a couple of seconds into the song. With some songs it will even skip several beats into the song.

Am I setting something wrong? Is there a way to decrease the threshold?
 
I think there should be a threshold like in old RED.

Just the little things here and there will make this the best program.

I am totally loving the automix for social hour and dinner sets.
 
I think the program should just read my mind and know what i want to do everytime...maybe VDJ can get one of those electrode helmets the Airforce is experimenting with to have pilots control their fighter with their mind instead of a joystick...now that would truly be VIRTUAL DJ!
 
HOW DO I AUTO CUE VDJ WITHOUT FARWARDING IT OR REVERSIONG IT IN A SLOW MODE.

AGAIN HOW CAN I AUTO PITCH VDJ WITH DIFFRENT TRACKS HAVKING SOME INCH BPM .

CONSIDIRNG PCDJ RED V 5.2 ! ! ! YOU CAN AUTO PITCH IT TO BEAT MATCH YOUR NEXT MIX SONG.HOW DO I GO ABOUT THAT ,,,AUTO PITCHING.

AGAIN ANYONE HERE KNOW HOW I CAN MAKE MA OWN DJ JINGLE NAME,WOULD I HAVE TO USE A SOFTWARE,OR WHAT DO I DO ,MAKING A JINGLE NAME USING A COMPUTER VOICE OR OTHER VOING NOT A NATURAL VOICE. TO MAKE SOUND MA NAME SO THAT I CAN PLAY WHEN GOING TO START OR BEGING ANY GIG???
