Topic: What does VDJ store in the MP3 tag?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I know VDJ reads from the tags, and I know it uses its own XML "database" to store that information..

but does it ever put any changes back into the MP3 tags?
for instance.. lets say I correct the bpm after its been analyzed, how can I get VDJ to store this number in the MP3's tag?

it saves it to the the xml database...

VDJ dont touch the ID3 tags

I think you may have to do this with a mp3 tagging program like Tag&Rename. Entry the bpm and save on to the tag.

 
is there any way to automate this process or will each bpm need to be written to each file tag by hand?
 
 
well, maybe the next update....I would like to see also that it reads deliniated file names (i.e. video files that can't be tagged) to fill the fields in the database...or read mp4 tags that tag&rename puts on mp4 videos now.

when I started thinking about the whole "tagging" business I added this post to the "wishes"
