If a DJ isn't going to be beatmatching or mixing with this thing... why buy one?
LOL!!!! You´re right and good question! But believe me, I have seen DJs who only do "cd change job" with CDJs 1000 and a DJM800.

How about the DN-2500 from Denon...............I wonder if you could be able to switch off between using the internal hard drive, virtual DJ, and a CD payer like the BU4500?

You can do the same like the HC4500. The 2500 has a Hard drive built in but the screen is too small to be searching for music. The More popular one to buy is the 4500. Denons sales arent that great with the DN 2500

Don't get me wrong - I'm not knocking anybody who doesn't do fancy mixing tricks, I was just pointing out that if you don't, and only require one stereo output, why spend all that money on a piece of kit thats full of features that will never be used... If it's just fades and radio transitions, it's hardly worth buying a controller at all surely? I used to run PCDJ Red years ago, and just worked it off the keyboard shortcuts. Just my two cents anyway! :-)
For one thing, only one output won't allow you to cue up the next track with the headphones. But for me it's more about feal and having the jogs, makes creating cue points alot smoother. All in all it's about what makes you the most comfortable doing the job, for many of us that means using a controler;^]
