hi girls (if any) and guys.
i'm about to buy a new computer and, of course, VDJ. i'm planing to buy either AMD Athlon XP 2500+ or Intel Celeron D 2.4 Ghz, both with 256Mb DDR ram. so, my question is: what computer to buy, AMD or Intel?

whichever, but buy at least 512 Mb of RAM or VDJ won't run good.
VDJ requires more RAM than CPU power (I run on an old P3 700/850 MHz with 512 Mb RAM with no problem, and the CPUs you mention are much faster than mine)

If you're plannning on buying a laptop, go with IBM, T40 series and up (I have t42 myself)

Anything else just isnt worth the trouble.
IBM is more expensive but they are the best at making and supporting laptops.

If you're goign to buy a desktop system, then an Athlon chip is the way to go.

Cheaper and more bang for your buck than an Intel chip.
Just get a Gig of Ram (it's so cheap these days!)

If you're planning on using VDJ on a regular basis in live gigs, then you should consider the laptop option, and you should dedicate your laptop to VDJ only to avoid your system getting corrupted and causind VDJ to crash and to avoid other programs interfering with VDJ.
