What is the Error Message ? And is it a crash guard message ?
Posted Thu 25 Oct 07 @ 7:32 pm
Sorry cstoll, its a warning message, not an error message. I've posted an actual screenshot of the message above.
Its a pop up window that says,
Warning!
The system was unresponsive.
VirtualDJ has performed a recovery and should now work ok again.
Still, you might want to restart the software next time its convenient enough for you to do so.
Then you have to click on OK to close the pop up window,
Gary

As already explained in another topic, it's the new anti-freeze system added in rev.5
Could you add these lines in the xml file of the default skin:
It will give you/us more data to understand your problem.
Could you add these lines in the xml file of the default skin:
<textzone>
<size width="140" height="17" />
<pos x="90" y="2"/>
<text font="Verdana" size="14" color="#FFFFFF" format="%status" scroll="yes"/>
</textzone>
It will give you/us more data to understand your problem.

What with it being a new problem for me and not knowing if the problem has a name, its not always easy to know what to search for or what forum to search in, so rather than waste yours and my time, maybe it would take less words to tell me the link to the topic its posted in.
(its becoming a bit of a pet hate of mine seeing people post 'its already in another topic' rather than just say what topic its in. If you don't want to waste your time replying, don't)
As for posting lines in xml files of default skins, i haven't got a clue what you are talking about.

If I got djcel right,
1) got to Program Files-VirtualDJ-Skins (or to the path you installed VDJ to and in the Skins subdirectoy)
2) Extract 1024x768.xml from the VIrtualDJ.zip which you should find in the Skins subdirectoy
3) open the 1024x768.xml with Notepad
4) paste the whole code djcel posted above the first <rhythm> section
5) save the file and put it back into the zip file
I hope I didn't write bullshit right now.
I did that change now to my VirtualDJ.zip, so you may download it from click here
and put it to Program Files-VirtualDJ-Skins (or to the path you installed VDJ to and in the Skins subdirectoy) replacing your VirtualDJ.zip
Please correct me if this posting is wrong !!!

We are investigating about this problem of DAC3 which doesn't appear to correctly close when it's released (drivers ?, HID ?, mapper ?, ...). We hope an answer soon.
