I know I posted already, just hoping for a response...
I am looking to hear the samples from the sampler...
I hit \"play\" and I see the bar moving which means it is playing the sample, but I have no sound.
I have sound for audio/video
I am using...
2 timecode CD players
Presonus External soundcard (4 ins and 4 outs)
Rane club mixer
VMIX 5.2 skin
In SOUND SETUP- I have it on, timecodes, 3 line mixer, Asio driver, etc.
I\'d like to know how to hit PLAY in the sampler and hear them whether on their own line or just over the music is fine.

If your soundcard is 4 in/4 out, I take it that means 2 stereo inputs/outputs, in which case you need to change your sound settings - the 3 line mixer opttion is for cards with at least 6 outputs, allowing you to use the extra two as a dedicated sampler output.

Right now it is on 3-line and I have never used samples. All works perfectly.
THe soundcard is 4 ins (left right, left right) and 4 outs (left right, left right).
It is a presonus firebox...
To hear the samples will I have to hook another line to the mixer?

Unfortunately, you'll have to put up with just having the samples playing on both channels at the same time.
The idea is that you put both faders on the mixer up, then you'll be able to hear the samples at the right volume.
To get the samples on a different channel on your mixer, you'd need a sound card with 6 outs.

Hey VDJ team - how about putting the samples through the active deck so we can prelisten to them even if we only have a 2 line mixer? That would be awesome!

HI Andy, thanks to Socross, I figured it out.
The Presonus has 2 more outputs (total 6). I went from those 2 to a 3rd line on the mixer and it worked- I now here the SAmpler out from line 3 on my mixer.

Next, I would like to explore how to get the 3rd player on a multi-instance skin to play.
Does this work the same way?
Anyone use mult-instance skin and an external mixer?
