Topic: vob vs. mpeg 2 / crossfader control from my mixer to control cue in video mode

how do you get cue's dvd ripper to ripp in mpeg 2 instead of vob ???????
is there a way that i can use the crossfader on my rane ttm56 mixer to fade between the video i was able to do it with the audio through my serato sl1 box but would like to do it with the video at the same time??????????????

just change the extention from .vob to .mpg & wahlah u have you mpeg2.

Controlling the video with the ttm56 isn't possible. You need a mixer/hardware with midi control. Just bought the Trigger finger which I will be using for cueing, loading tracks, effects, looping & controlling the video.

You could use a full blown midi mixer like this:

But I'm assuming with a mixer like the ttm56 that you do some turntablist stuff & if you do I wouldn't recommend it becaus of the latency. I know this off hand because I've tried it. It works great though if your just a mixer & a basic scracher. But if you want to pull off 2 clicks & constant crabbing....forget about it.

Funkturnal: I have the Ecler NUO4 and it is an awesome piece of hardware. I have had it for almost 2 years come september, and no problems.
