Topic: question on video cards, and how to have 2 outputs (monitor, and tv out)

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

K, basically what i'm asking is that if i'm planning on building a PC, and I have a wide variety of video cards to choose from, what should I look for?? I've been trying to learn about SLI, but not sure if that is what is best for VDJ, since I read somewhere that only "SLI" enabled games will be able to take advantage of the technology. So what i'm asking, is that i'm obviously trying to get the best performance out of my setup, so should I get 2 videocards, or 2 sli cards, or what?

Note, i'm still just pricing out my computer, so I haven't even built it yet. I know that SLI requires a special motherboard, so I want to get this cleared up before I go shopping.

Just get an 8800gts or 8800gts, and you will be all set for directx 10.
I have read that one 8800 will beat two 7900gt ran in sli mode!

HOLY SH!T, those are some bangin video cards....

See, I get confused though, when it talks about clock speed, and all, and how one card with more MB is not necessaraly faster than one with less MB and a faster clock, could you elaborate on that a little?
