Can you help me with this- just bought the Serato soundcard today to replace my Presonus Firebox.

Issues I now have...

1) left side timecode only around 70% (RIGHT SIDE IS 100%). BRAND NEW rCA CORDS
2) left side once in a while starts playing in slow motion.

QUESTION
In VDJ Sound settings, do I put "soundcard on SL-1 or Asio?

Also when I go into CONTROL PANEL, SOUNDS, should I see the serato soundcard there at all? I am not. Only see Sigma tel Audio whcih is what came installed on lappy.

DO I HAVE TO INSTALL VDJ, could this be a VDJ problem, did a file get corrupt or damaged.

thanks so much!!!

Usually when I start the PC, I open serato first to make sure the soundcard is detected properly. If you open Serato first, verify the card is there, close it and then start VDJ, it should work 100% of the time. This is my own experience.

Dont install the SSL software, it will destroy your PC ;)
Just kidding...hehe

No, you dont need that, to have the SL-1 box work :)
Be sure to set latency to AUTO in VDJ, then go to timecode config, and choose auto-config.

That should work :)

Nor,

THIS IS CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

15 hours today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Auto Latency ON

Auto config, timecode already,

the left side is playing like a warped slow motion; like a ghost has taken over the computer.

Is serato not acting well with the timecodes possibly?

you can listen to norway, who doesn't use a serato sound card or you can listen to me, someone who uses a serato soundcard everyday. install the ssl software so that you can start it to make sure the box is recognized properly.

can you please trust me on this and save yourself a helluva lot of frustration?

i used to start my pc with the serato box attached and go straight into vdj. about 25% of the time, the sl-1 worked.

since i've started doing the procedure i outlined above, i have yet to have the SL-1 not show up in vdj properly. not once.

take your advice from whomever you like.

lol ;)

Listen to Anewsome, as he says, he uses it all the time...
So he knows..

According to what he wrote, you should first start SSL, to make sure the card is recognized, then shut it down, and then start VDJ ...

He would know...

Just do as he says :)

We just want it to work for you;)

Btw, at the first post:
- Firewire cards will not be seen in Windows Control Panel >>> Sound (most likely).

And in VDJ;
- Select SL-1 as soundcard
