Greeting all from Central California, aka Fresno,

I enjoy mixing live the audio and video programs at shows that I do, and the VDJ 4.1r2 is a vast improvement, "and more fun to use" over PCDJ-Red, PCDJ-FX, PCDJ Scratch and Stanton's Final Scratch. Which all I own and have used over the last 4-5 years...I'm still a turntable wizard at heart...

The quick search for a title in the 20,000+ song library flys, impressing the clients and guests when they ask, do you have such and such song/artist, and you type in the artists name or the song title, and vola, quick answer, more often than not the answer is " Yes, I've got that song, and a few more by that artist, too."

I'm single system mobile VJ/DJ owner/operator with 28+ yrs of DJ'ing, 19+ years of VJing. I've driven over 150k miles thru California performing in fairs, schools, clubs and private events.

I tow a trailer with my V6 powered Chevy Astro Van to gigs. My current gig trailer is by Pace American, it's a 19ft long x 8 ft wide x 7 ft tall, with 3 doors, , 2 axles, 4 hd tires, with a Fully Enclosed Car Hauler type trailer rated for up to 6500lbs of load/gear. With my sounds, lights and video gear loaded inside...I'm not pushing the weight limits of the trailer or the van.....yet!

However, getting only 8mpg towing the trailer and with gas at over $3.00usd per gallon, a 27 gallon fillup of gas hurts the old budget and profit margins...Business wasn't so bad when gas was $1.25-$1.50 a gallon, and I charged 25 cents a mile round trip out of town, but that's old pricing from the old days. I'm glad I'm not traveling 25,000 miles a year around the state like I use to do.. 200 miles round trip use to be the norm for most gigs, with travel up to 650 miles round trip possible in a day.

Greets! Shouting out from the South-Arkansas! I've been DJ-ing since 1984.I started in the Memphis club scene and went to the mobile scene in '93. I went digital about 3 yrs ago with OTS. It is a good system that I use for basic weddings, but I recently bought a pair of t/t and want to mess 'round with them again. I played with the VDJ demo and I'm hooked. I ordered Pro along with 3 timecoded vinyls yesterday so the wait is on for their arrival. I was pretty sick with mixing skillz back in the 80s, but I haven't touched t/t in a heck of a long time. I miss the vinyl feel!
It will mainly be goofin' in the house probably, but I may incorporate it into my school gigs...thx
