Topic: Going to the next track on live music video

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Can you go to the next track on a live music video? On a hardware player you can bump to the next track. How to do with virtual dj? I only do private gigs and no club gigs.

Thanks

You cant by default....

Either you need to make cue points for each track of that huge video file...

Or better, divide that huge video file, into separate tracks... single files.

I mean like if you were using a home or pro dvd player. When you load a dvd into it it will pull up the track titles. Then you can bump to which ever title that you want. Going to the next track with virtual dj on a live ripped music dvd?

Which is easier and best? Cue points or seperate tracks-single files? How to do either?

Single track files is better... As it makes less of a file size to decode into ram...

SmartRipper or similar DVD rippers should be able to rip each track to a file.

Will dvd decrypter do that?

and load them like music

VOB's can be played directly in VDJ

did you make VOBs for each track?

If your ripper dont support that, try SmartRipper.
I know many use that one

I'm sorry, i dont know that program

But maybe someone else does.

If its a one go ripper (for movies, one file, or chapter) it might not work as you want.

Try the DVD ripper that came with VDJ (in your Virtual DJ install folder), or SmartRipper that I know many here use

Will the Smart Ripper do the job like i want it to? To rip the live videos into chapters, then into single track files?

Thanks

Thanks for all the help. I will give the smart ripper a whirl. All of my dvds are not live. I also have promo onlys and some other store bought music dvds that are not live. i just wanted to rip the live ones as well as the others.

Thanks again
