Was the product Scrapped?
Was it ever a real product or just proof of concept (vaporware)?
Maybe Numark sued Denon for patent infringement?
Maybe Cortex-Pro sued Denon for patent infringement?
Maybe Denon is having Problems in the manufacting process and the product will be delayed?
Maybe the RIAA STOPPED THEM Dead in their tracks?!!
Maybe the product is about to be released and they are just cleaning house??

...MAN, and I was gonna try to control VirtualDJ with mp3 time code :-(

Rivaling Numark, Model DN-HD2500 is the all in one portable DJ center perfect for the current music evolution. The recent wave of technological gain has led to djs dropping vynil in favor to cds and now even their laptops. This new toy; plays into all the potential needs in said industry to come.

The digital turntables house dueling CD/MP3 spinners and a removable (easy maintenance) shock-resistant internal 2.5-inch hard drive for any music collection. The ability to connect additional devices from virtually all-existing storage media, including iPods, external HDs and USB Flash Drives allows for infinite extensions to the library.

A small screen in the center allows for setup, queuing, and beatmaching. DN-HD2500 comes complete with a Music Manager software. Included is a highly refined search system which allows user to navigate through any files connected to the system with criteria including Playlist, Artist, Album, Title, Genre, Year, and BPM. Other features include scratching (watch out Qbert) , seamless looping, and a ton of special effects.

The Denon DJ DN-HD25000 is scheduled to begin shipping at the end of this year.

The site was probably hacked again...not suprising, since some mods and loyal denon users(aka fanboys) can be a bit on the nasty side sometimes...

The site is down due to a harddisk crash (See here).

The HD2500 is going to be released right after the new year--they definitely haven't scrapped it. Numark, on the other hand, is dropping their equivalent. The Cortex people really don't mind Denon's competition being that each company is offering their own version (which are quite different in their own respect). There are obviously benefits/advantages/disadvantages of both manufacturers' products.
