In one word: Dvinyl as mp3 controller is fantastic! Wat a super control over your music. It really really really rocks! You gys have no idea how enthousiastic I am over the Dvinyl controller.

In order to make a perfect demo for a party organisation (www.soulnouveau.com) I stopped learning the vinyl controls and switched to the mp3 controls. Man o man, what a nice sensitive controller that is. The big jog wheels are very sensitive and VDJ reacts instantly too any little turn of the jog wheels. Pitch control is almost perfect too. Nice display of time left and BMP on screen. Perfect!

By the way, manipulating the vinyl is improving big time too. You learn to work around the quirks. No big moves, just very slowly match the beats after you have set the pitch.

Now if only clubowners and party organisers weren't so hooked up on vinyl ;-).

Tell us more... )

Can you set and recall ques on the fly ? How many of them
3 or more ? Is it one touch button task, or combination of keys ? (like control+que 1 to set, que 1 to play)
How is it as a soundcard ?
Can you use it as a normal 4in/4out asio soundcard,
in a recording software for example ? are there wdm drivers ?

Thanks and good mixing ...

I don't know but I expect you can.

As with loops there are buttons to walk throught them.

Dunno, but there are like 6 buttons for cue's.

How is it as a soundcard ?

Don't use the soundcard. I have other soundcards.

I dont know ;-).

There should be documentation somewhere. I only use it to mix.

Thanks for your answer.
I've downloaded a screenshot for the controller,
and it looks really impressive.

Btw. its easy to find how, it is as a soundcard.
Just look at device manager-->sound devices
to see if dvinyl is listed as a soundcard.
Or open an asio application to see if it is listed
(in the audio setup.)
Thank again, have a nice day.
