seems i can't record vdj mixes because of protected files. I downloaded through vdj global. my only solution seems to be burning specific tracks on cd (paying for them) then ripping them into hard drive?
any other solutions?

that would be correct, you can't record files that are drm protected.

I just wouldn't bother with DRM it's a pain.. seems to be more of a problem than a solution

Why not just run your audio output into something else to record your mix, ie another computer with a line in, or a minidisc recorder? DRM can't stop ya doing that... ;-)
