Hi,
Does anybody have a favourite VST compressor? Just to sqeeze everything i can out of the sound system.
First i was looking at hardware to do this, but what i really want is a dbx driverack pa and they're about £500 in the UK!
Any help would be really appriciated.

You can find a simple electronic scheme on http://www.audiomaster.it/tutorial/compressorielimiter.htm, but there aren't some values... I also have two projects from the magazine "Nuova Elettronica", complete with schemes, description and instructions to solder the kit (which you can buy from http://www.nuovaelettronica.it). The only problem is that everything is in Italian, but is sound as good as a professional compressor and costs only €60.40 (without trasport).

Thanks for the suggestion, but if i can find a software one, it should be alot cheaper (and lighter!) than getting an actual unit to do it.
I think i'd probably mange to break it if i tried to build it from a kit anyway! :)
