Topic: DirectX Sound Driver error

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I tried a search, but didnt find what I was looking for. I installed VDJ on two different machines. On one of them I get this DirectX Sound Driver error that comes up when starting up VDJ. I went and installed Direct X 9.0, but it should have already been on the machine since some of the other programs on here require it. On using VDJ though I have noticed no problem. I have not hooked it up to the system yet since I purchased the full version, but will do so tomorrow. Anybody know why this comes up?

Try installing directx 9.0c that is the latest version and reinstall your soundcards drivers, regards.

It's because you've selected a soundcard in the configuration which isn't connected to your system. Most likely you're using an ASIO device but have VDJ configured for a WDM device.
