Topic: What are TimeCoded CDs or Vinyls!?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Why would I want to use them, and what would they help me to do? I would only be playing for friends & relatives and small house parties.

One can use real turntables or CD Players to control vdj's decks with the timecode signal. If you prefer to use only mouse and keyboard and have no urge to scratch on a real turntable, you don't need them.

Is there a list of the types of soundcards I could use in order to take care of the "latency" problem I might have without the proper sound card. Isee that they recommend the MAYA44, but I'm about to purchase a Dell, and they don't seem to use that.

What else is out there that I can use?

Thanks again.

Recommended sound cards are both USB, so they could be used with a laptop or with a desktop pc. First is the Maya USB and the other is the Esi U46DJ.
