Which ones do you think should go?

We have a constant stream of new users who need that information.
If it's not there, we have endless threads about the same things.

He have had constant questions about Vinyl availability lately.
Every topic there has merit imo, in fact we need to add one for headphone use.

Correct / Incorrect computers set up for VirtualDJ v3.4

That is the only one which has made me think, what is this there for.

I better go read them, before they are gone. I may have missed something.

Maybe there should be a section where all new comers have to go and read before they can post. Also all of us should be made to go and read it every 6 months or so....keep us up to date. 5 stickys in a feild of 15 is 33.33 percent being taken up. Thats a lot

OK, so let's have a sticky forum. I can go for that. All of the problems and fixes, crucial configurations. It can still be on the general page, but just one line that says "Stickys". Let's make this happen.

yep, something like "common problems/topics"

I personally agree, it would make support a lot easier when we can all link to the same answers/thread in one common forum.

@ Double 0,

Yeah, but if you look at their VRM Troubleshooting, it is still full of stickys. It would be nice if we could keep it consistent.

It would be a "Read Only Forum" that addresses specific information.

OO

also the option to REMOVE the post by anyone (by admins)
and to send him a notification, Your post was removed, please see the default answer here ....

In this case the forum really wil be clean.

2 removed that has been there for quite a while ... :)

But would that be too clean? A board so clean that it is counter productive where it destroys the community as every post would be: -please see here- ?

agree... stickys are good as they are... but should be removed after a while:)

What we need in this case then is a permanent sticky! a sticky with a whole list of "essential links" to "need to know information" and solutions to common problems, also video links could be posted etc, so we have our own directory, a locked directory thread that is continuously updated.

Of course we can link users there, but we don't have to be so cold, usually when offering a link it's best to add a little bit of user specific advice too :).

A wiki would be a brilliant idea.

yep, I'am working daily with it, but it's a professional deformation that I try to escape to VDJ or other hobbies and put all things from work away :-) lol

Generally wiki is a nice way to go, also is there any cleanup of forums planned ?

I mean only totally uninformative messages like "Gimme serial" or "Jo kool" 20 times in each forum ?
