Topic: Virtual DJ doesn't turn on... only splash & icon in taskbar [fixed]

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I just did a clean install of Windows XP and reinstalled VDJ. When I click to open the program the splash comes up and the VDJ icon shows in the taskbar but the program doesn't show up on my screen. I have update xp and directx but I can figure out what's going on. Can someone please help me as I need it working for a gig this evening

Did you leave a 800x600 resolution on your computer?

You should switch to 1024x768 for VDJ to work.

Thanks for the speedy reply

I'm using an old crappy monitor and set it up at 800x600 because the words were blurry. Forgot to set it back

Thanks again... It' works and I feel like an idiot. I'm a computer technician. Da....

Don't beat yourself up. If you knew everything, you'd be sitting on top of a mountain, with a sheet wrapped around you, telling people the meaning of life. Plus, now I have learned something new.
