Topic: MIDI mappable crossfader

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Does anybody know of a company that does or will make a MIDI mappable crossfader that could replace a standard xfader in a standard mixer? I'd like to be able to control the xfader on VDJ to mix video the way I want. I don't want the Hucules because it is not rack mountable, but it does work exactly as I'd want it to. If only it were rack mountable... If the DAC-3 had a built in fader, it would be perfect, but it doesn't.

I believe you can already fade the video with the dac-3 and the new mapper

You can also buy any cheap analog joystick and use its electronics.
I can create a HOW-TO. When you push the button 1 on the joystick, one
axis is used as crossfader. It worked for me in VDJ.
So you just have to put it into mixer somehow.
