Forum: VirtualDJ Plugins

Topic: My X-mas wish for a dream plugin..... anyone ? :)

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

Now that Virtual DJ supports midi for manipulating effects (move slider 1 + 2, with jogs on hercules).

Is it possible for a ROTARY effect?
so that moving a rotary midi knob/jog will manipulate the effect in a rotary manner, not only move slider to the top, or if turned the other way, move the slider to the bottom....

My dream would be to have rotary manipulation of such effects as flanger, wah wah (not made for vdj yet), filter etc...

And if DJ CEL could make this be mapped to the "dj joystick" on the console, it would be heaven on earth!! :)

Also, IF possible to make such effects, could you please have the max/min manipulation within normal boundries? because some effects of Virtual Dj, its no sense in moving sliders all the way, it just makes an awfull distorted sound..... :)

For a better idea of how this COULD work, look at this video from Pioneers CDJ200 mp deck:
http://84.45.9.60/cdx/placeholder.swf?product=cdj200
(watch until he starts using the effects) :)
Effects will never be the same, if this is possible ;)

And X-mas wishes would come true ;)

I asked some help to Atomix team to do it.

THANK YOU CEL! YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!

AWESOME plugin, and the jogstick for slider option! I simply LOVE YOU!!!! ;))))

(tested the beta of DjCels upcomming console mapper plugin! its GREAT, joystick can be set to manipulate for example effect! You are Santa's little helper, Cel! hehe)

And if Deun-Deun can figure out some rotary plugins to map to jogs, its heaven on eart!:) hehe
