Topic: Hercules Console vs Mk2

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

What are the differences between the old console and the new mk2? From what I can tell, the only thing that's different is that the mk2 has inputs. I'm sure there must be other differences as well.

......anybody?

I find it kind of funny that so many people want the new Mk2 if no one knows why it's better than the original.

MK2 Major improvements:
Improved Soundcard (now works in ASIO and has 2 inputs for timecoded vinyl/CD support).
Improved button responsitivity.
Multiple monitoring Deck A, Deck B, Mix, Split A-B (via new anterior knob)
headphones (via new anterior knob).
Chunkier jog wheels (better for scratch).
Build quality is more robust (looks stronger/bit more pro).

Packaged with Virtual DJ 3 (home/console edition).

I thnk that's all the improvements, I may have missed a few minors :).

and ... new name? hehe

U seem to have covered it well, bren ;)

Thanks guys...now I just gotta dig up some money and get one...

I cannot see optical and midi connections on new MK2, old one has got them. Anybody miss them?

One more thing.... can anybody confirm if CUE and PLAY/PAUSE are REAL TIME and work properly on new MK2. I think is the real improvement from old version that DJ's are waiting for....at old console you must use mouse to play in real time
