i just found about virtual dj and i am testing the trial version
i love it!!!!
i want to switch from my cd's to laptop and virtual but am leary of it
any words of advice would be great
also, advice on a system---
laptop, specs, etc.
external hard drive---what you guys use for back ups, etc

All never laptops are well suited for Virtual DJ.
AMD/Intel ~1500ghz or faster
512 RAM (1024 preferred)
Internal HD, 40GB (7200RPM preferred)
External HD, 300GB that has firewire interface beside USB, for media storage.
Most USB or Firewire based sound cards are supported, use one instead of the internal.
If you are interested in the video feature, you have to look at the top-of-the-line are near top-of-the-line laptops on the market, since laptops don't have the latest videocards as on stationary PC's, and Virtual DJ requre a better video card. 6600GT and similar or better.
