Topic: Is there a master tweak site?

This topic is old and might contain outdated or incorrect information.

I've read numerous times it is important to tweak your computer in certain ways so it will run efficiently and to get rid of bloated programs that you don't need. (especially important with laptops right?) Is there a place online where someone can read just what to tweak or what to turn off or delete? I'd hate to do the wrong things and remove something I shouldn't have!
