Hello,

I'm planning to buy virtualdj in the future and use it with TCCDs on my pioneer cdj-1000 installation.

I'm using a laptop so i need a USB soundcard. Does anyone know if the Emagic EMI 2 - 6 USB is a good choice?

DJDM,

In theory this sound card must work well with TCCDs or TCVs. It's an old sound card, but it could has 4ms latency. If these sound card is cheaper than the actual options for a laptop use, then is a good option. If not, I go for a new sound card.

Good Luck!

One of my friends own this card and it is a proper card. You could use it for output easily, it has 3 stereo (6 mono) outputs.
For time code it is less usefull, while the card has only 1 stereo (2 mono) inputs. This means that you only could use 1 cd player or 1 turntable.
If you not have this card yet, You better could buy a Maya USB soundcard. If you already own this card you could use it for playback and testing timecode vinyls / Cds.
