When I tried use cool edit it only recorded ou tof 1 sound card.
I am using 2 sound cards and I also use timedoded cd's.

The two outputs from your sound card should go into your mixer. The output from your mixer needs to be connected to the computer that you are using to record. Select the line input in cool edit to record your mix, right out of the mixer outputs.

I have a behringer vx300 it has no record out........

The TAPE OUT is equivalent as a REC OUT output. You could use the Booth output or the TAPE output to get this signal.
Connect your VDJ computer to the Mixer. The output of your mixer (TAPEOUT or BOOT OUT if you want to change the level of the signal) have to be connected to one of your line inputs in your PC. Then use your software to REC this Line input and you're done!

Then use Y cables on your main out. It does have an output of some kind right?

i use an old wankbox of a pc, not good for much but a storage dump and recorder, i also broadcast from that one as well. it takes the stress off.
